ndie-pop rock artist Monroe has signed with Pacific Records, marking the San Diego-based label’s first artist signing of 2018.
Monroe is the alias of Matt Berman, a New York-based multi-instrumentalist rock artist who’s musical accomplishments span both on and off the stage. On stage, Monroe has played keys and saxophone with Brandon Flowers of The Killers on Flowers’ “Desired Effect” world tour, performing at festivals across the nation such as Life is Beautiful, Bumbershoot and Austin City Limits. Off stage, Monroe’s music has been praised by the Alternative Press, Popdust Magazine, Substream Magazine and more.
“I’m very grateful to join a great roster of artists and be a part of a record label that really values the artistry of their musicians,” says Berman. “I look forward to working together and the great music that will come from our partnership.”
Monroe is one of several east coast artists to sign with Pacific Records in recent years, signaling the label’s growing success. “This is a multi-talented act with infectious energy,” says Martin Guigui, Director of A&R of Pacific Records. “Everything about Monroe is a perfect fit for the Pacific Records musical family and fan base”. In addition to Monroe, Pacific Records has recently signed or released new music from such national acts as America’s Got Talent finalist Benton Blount and platinum selling band O-Town.
Pacific Records will release Monroe’s “The Streetlight” EP this spring, featuring the singles “One More Night” and “Streetlight”.
